  Frosty nights, snowy days and warm hearts make these little birds, perched among pine branches sprinkled with glistening, white, crystal snow, sing their sweet Winter Song.

  Lynn Bean is one of the premiere Trail of Painted Ponies artists. A graduate of the Illustration Department of Kendal School of Design in Michigan, she began her career in retail fashion illustration. Then, in the late '70s, she transplanted herself to a remote ranch in the Oregon Ochoco Mountains, where she dedicated her artwork to capturing the rare moments and detailed beauty of wild birds and animals. More recently she has experimented with watercolors and dimensional work, creating interesting 3-D effects with hand-tooled copper, feathers, horsehair and bead work. Lynn has been a finalist in virtually every Trail of Painted Ponies competition she has entered and she will be featured on the cover of an upcoming issue of Appaloosa Journal.
